GAERNE SG22 Jarvis Boots

Gaerne SG22 is the current flagship of the Italian workshop from Conegliano and the direct successor to the legendary SG12. If you ride motocross or hard enduro flat out and want a boot that won't let you down even after several seasons, this is the choice. The fundamental change compared to the SG12 is the redesigned ankle joint, whose geometry more precisely follows the natural movement of the foot. In practice this means the boot doesn't restrict movement when standing on the footpegs, but stops the foot where it would otherwise twist into a bad angle. The upper strap has a three-position adjustment, so it can be comfortably combined with knee braces — with older boots this used to be an eternal problem. Vents in the upper section wick away moisture. Everything that made the SG range's name remains: a one-piece steel toe cap, gel inner insert, rubberised surfaces at the contact points and variable fastening with four buckles. A practical thing you'll appreciate only two years down the line — the soles, buckles and straps are all available as spare parts. So you don't have to throw a worn-out boot away, you just put it right again. Made in Italy.
