VHM

VHM is a Dutch manufacturer of two-stroke engine parts — motocross, road racing, karting and mopeds. It is best known for its golden cylinder head with an exchangeable combustion chamber: the head body with its improved water duct stays on the engine and only the insert changes, which sets the chamber volume and the compression. That lets the rider match the engine to the fuel, the track and the elevation without buying a new head — a smaller volume for high-octane race fuel, a larger one for pump fuel. The heads seal with O-rings and take heat away more effectively, so the engine keeps its power for the whole race.
