DENSO is a Japanese manufacturer within the Toyota Group and one of the two global spark plug suppliers to the motorcycle industry. The brand's signature is a 0.4 mm iridium centre electrode — the thinnest in the business — combined with a U-Groove in the ground electrode. A thinner electrode needs less energy for the spark to jump, which shows up as more reliable cold starting and a steadier idle, while the groove moves the spark away from the metal so it burns more freely. Three lines are available: Iridium Power for everyday riding, Iridium Racing for competition engines, and standard nickel plugs as an affordable OEM replacement. DENSO is also original equipment for Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki, so on many machines you are fitting exactly the plug that left the factory in them.
