The Akrapovic titanium muffler is 40–60% lighter than the steel OEM exhaust. Titanium is also more resistant to corrosion and can withstand higher temperatures — which is why Akrapovic also uses it in MotoGP engine exhausts. Installation can be handled by any mechanic in an hour — bolt-on to the original mounting. It works fully without an ECU remap, remapping is not a requirement (but it does add power).
