Akrapovic Slip-On for ZX-6R 07/08 is the most popular exhaust upgrade — you only replace the silencer, the header remains OEM. Result: the bike comes alive sonically, loses 1–2 kg from the tail, and looks like a completely different machine. Material: titanium. The Akrapovic titanium silencer is 40–60% lighter than the steel OEM exhaust. Titanium is also more corrosion-resistant and withstands higher temperatures — which is why Akrapovic also uses it in MotoGP exhaust systems. Installation can be done by any mechanic in an hour — bolt-on to the original mounting points. Works fully without an ECU remap; a remap is not required (but adds power).
