Akrapovic Slip-On for BK R1250 RS is the most popular exhaust upgrade — you only replace the silencer, the header remains OEM. Result: the bike's sound comes alive, 1–2 kg is shed from the tail, and visually it's a different machine. Material: titanium. The Akrapovic titanium silencer is 40–60% lighter than the steel OEM exhaust. Titanium is also more resistant to corrosion and can withstand higher temperatures — which is why Akrapovic also uses it in MotoGP engine exhausts. Installation can be done by any mechanic in an hour — bolt-on to the original mounting points. It works fully without an ECU remap, a remap is not required (but it adds power).
