Oxford Lever Guard – brake and clutch lever protection for road and track use Lever guards were originally developed to prevent unintentional application of the front brake during close wheel-to-wheel racing. They are equally effective at protecting the levers in everyday traffic riding, for example when coming into contact with mirrors while overtaking in a queue. On the track, however, they are mandatory equipment.
