Wrap the hour meter wire 4 to 5 times around the spark plug lead. Secure the wire with the supplied cable ties before the first and after the last wrap. After choosing a suitable place for the hour meter, push the wire into the groove on the back of the unit. Cut off the excess wire. Fix the hour meter in place with the supplied screws. You can check that it works by the flashing indicator on the display while the engine is running. NOTE: The hour meter only counts WHOLE tens of minutes. The hour meter can be used on a motorcycle, generator, lawn mower or any other engine-powered equipment
