Maxima DOT 5.1 is a brake and clutch fluid with a higher boiling point than DOT 4, yet on the same glycol base. It can therefore be used wherever DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 is specified. It resists water contamination and vapour bubbles. Do not confuse them: DOT 5.1 is not silicone DOT 5, and the two must not be mixed.
